Our Ministry

Darren and Edma pastor a thriving church of approximately 1,500 members in the city of Aracaju, Brazil.

They also have an apostolic ministry, planting and overseeing churches and Bible schools in different locations. There have been thirteen churches and four Bible schools that have been birthed out of their church since taking over in 1999.

Eleven of those churches and three of the Bible schools were planted in Brazil, while two churches and one Bible school were planted in Argentina. Darren ministers the Word of God in several different countries around the world in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

The Beginning

Darren was born in 1975, in the state of Virginia. When he turned 18, the Lord spoke to him in a very powerful way about his call to the ministry. That same year, he left for Oklahoma to study at RHEMA Bible Training Center. He graduated from Bible school in 1996, and in January of the following year, shortly after his 21st birthday, he moved to the Philippines to pastor a small church on the island of Mindanao.

Obedience

After pastoring for a year, Darren was led of the Lord to pass the church over to a Filipino couple. That same couple is still pastoring the church until today. In 1998, Darren received direction from the Lord to establish his ministry in Brazil. His call to that country became evident when he began to preach in Portuguese in only 6 months time. At the end of his first year in Brazil, Darren met Edma, his wife-to-be.

Faith

They were married only a few months later in June of 1999. And in December of that same year, they took over Verbo da Vida Church in Aracaju, the church that they pastor until this present date. Their son Brandon was born in 2002, and their daughter Emily was born in 2004. Both of which are bilingual.
